The Owner and Designer
Zsuzsi Panyi was born in 1975 and grew up in Budapest, the capital of Hungary. As her father was an engineer in the glass industry with a patent on glass ingredients and had a home-based business, she saw and played with melted glass at an early age. She received her Master of Architecture degree at the Technical University of Budapest. Throughout her studies she spent quite a lot of time researching and using glass structures. After graduating, she dedicated a majority of her time to her family and her three children. Later, she moved from Budapest to a nearby village called Szentendre, where numerous artists and architects live. Living in such an inspiring environment, she rediscovered the art of glass and started glass fusing in early 2007 and became acquainted with lampworking later that year.
She is inspired by the modern style of the mid- 20th century, as well as contemporary art, and believes in the importance of beauty in every part of our lives.
Bold colors and simple, geometric shapes are the trademark of her unique, high-quality glass pieces.
